What is the RoofGuard™ program?

RoofGuard™ is Moss Boss Roofing’s scheduled roof maintenance program for homeowners in Salem and the Willamette Valley. Depending on the selected plan and the roof’s condition, service may include moss treatment, roof and gutter cleaning, a basic roof assessment, service photos, and ongoing condition tracking.

RoofGuard™ is our scheduled maintenance program. For a one-time service, explore roof cleaning and moss removal. Your written estimate identifies whether moss treatment is included.

The goal is straightforward: keep water moving where it should, address routine buildup, and notice changes early enough to discuss sensible options. Maintenance can reduce avoidable problems, but it cannot guarantee that a roof will never leak or eliminate every future repair.

RoofGuard™ plan options

Choose the scope your roof needs. These scheduled maintenance plans are separate from one-time roof cleaning. Compare the included visits and services below, then ask which level fits your roof.

Level 1

Moss Protection

$300 per year

  • Two professional moss-treatment visits per year

For roofs that need scheduled moss prevention without broader cleaning services.

Ask about Level 1

Level 2

Moss and Gutter Care

$500 per year

  • Two moss-treatment visits
  • Two gutter cleanings
  • One annual roof inspection

For homes where moss and roof drainage both need regular attention.

Ask about Level 2

Level 3

Complete Roof Maintenance

Starting at $1,100 per year

  • All Level 2 services, including one annual roof inspection
  • One annual roof debris and moss-removal cleaning
  • Photo documentation

For roofs that need more hands-on care and documented condition tracking.

Ask about Level 3

Level 3 pricing may increase with roof size and complexity. We’ll review your roof before recommending a service level.

Repairs are quoted separately unless your written RoofGuard™ proposal includes them. Routine photos and condition notes are different from formal written reports.

Who may benefit from a maintenance plan?

  • Homes with shaded roof slopes or trees that drop leaves, needles, and other debris
  • Roofs with a history of moss growth or drainage concerns
  • Homeowners who want help tracking service dates and roof-condition changes
  • Rental or multi-property owners who need a repeatable maintenance process
  • Older roofs or roofs with a specific concern that should be monitored

A maintenance plan may be more than a newer, open roof needs. We start by looking at the roof and explaining what level of care, if any, makes sense.

How scheduling works

  1. Start with the roof’s condition. We review the roof, drainage, tree exposure, moss history, and any active concerns.
  2. Choose an appropriate scope. We explain which plan fits and when a simpler one-time service may be enough.
  3. Build the schedule. Timing is based on the selected plan and the conditions around the home.
  4. Complete and document the visit. Our crew performs the agreed service and records relevant observations.
  5. Adjust when the roof changes. A maintenance schedule should respond to the roof’s condition rather than continue automatically when a different approach makes more sense.

Basic assessment and written reports are different services

A RoofGuard visit may include service photos and a brief description of what we observed. That is useful for routine condition tracking, but it is not the same as a comprehensive professional written report.

Written reports for litigation, insurance, claims, or HOA use start at $350, with final pricing based on scope and complexity. If you need formal documentation, tell us before scheduling so we can confirm the right inspection service and written deliverable. You can compare roof inspection and written-report options before scheduling.

Why local conditions matter

Willamette Valley roofs often deal with long wet periods, shaded slopes, fir needles, leaves, moss, and gutters that fill quickly during seasonal weather. Those conditions do not affect every roof equally. Roof design, surrounding trees, sun exposure, drainage, and existing wear all change what responsible maintenance looks like.

That is why Moss Boss does not recommend one universal inspection or cleaning interval. The schedule should follow what the roof needs and what we are monitoring. Use our fall roof checklist to record seasonal concerns, and read what changes a roof-cleaning schedule.

RoofGuard™ questions

Does every Oregon roof need annual cleaning?

No. Cleaning frequency depends on roof age and condition, shade, tree debris, moss history, drainage, storm exposure, and any active concern. Some roofs need closer attention, while others can go longer between services.

Can I enroll if my roof is new?

Possibly, but a new roof does not automatically need the most comprehensive plan. We can review the surroundings and condition, then explain whether preventative treatment, occasional monitoring, or no immediate service makes sense.

Does RoofGuard™ include repairs?

Repairs are outside the base maintenance scope and are quoted separately unless a written RoofGuard™ proposal specifically includes them. We explain any repair concern and obtain approval before completing work outside the agreed plan.

Is formal insurance or HOA documentation included?

Routine service photos or condition notes are different from a comprehensive professional written report. Written reports for litigation, insurance, claims, or HOA use start at $350 and should be scheduled as the appropriate inspection product.

Is RoofGuard™ a one-time roof-cleaning package?

No. RoofGuard™ is the scheduled roof maintenance program. If you need a single visit, ask about one-time roof cleaning and moss removal. Your written estimate identifies the cleaning and treatment scope.

Find the right maintenance starting point

When you contact us, mention RoofGuard and any moss, debris, or drainage concerns you’ve noticed. If you are not sure whether the roof needs a maintenance plan, a one-time cleaning, or simply an assessment, call 503-770-0233 or text our team. We will help you identify the next sensible step without pushing a larger plan than the roof needs.
