If you’re a homeowner researching roofing contractors, you’re probably wondering the same thing most people do:

“Who are these guys, and can I trust them on my roof?”

That’s a fair question.

We created this short video to give homeowners here in the Willamette Valley a chance to get to know the people behind Moss Boss Roofing. When someone hires a roofing contractor, they’re trusting that company with one of the most important parts of their home. We believe it’s important that you know exactly who you’re working with.

Moss Boss Roofing is owned and operated by two brothers.

Joe Epperly – Roofing Operations

Joe, the older brother, is the blue-collar roofing expert and the one most often found up on the roof. He has over 15 years of experience in the roofing industry and has helped install more than 2,800 roofs throughout his career, much of that time serving as the crew lead running job sites.

If a roof is steep, the weather turns rough, or a tricky detail needs to be figured out, Joe is usually the one solving the problem. Outside of roofing, he enjoys fitness and bodybuilding, which probably helps when your job involves climbing roofs all day.

Tom Epperly – Business Office

Tom, the younger brother, handles the customer and administrative side of the business. He’s the one homeowner usually speak with during inspections and estimates, helping explain what’s happening with their roof and what options make the most sense.

Tom brings over 15 years of experience in customer service, insurance, and healthcare administration, including time working as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster and workplace safety specialist. His background helps Moss Boss Roofing stay organized, communicate clearly with homeowners, and operate safely and professionally.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his family and occasionally running Dungeons & Dragons games, which may explain why he enjoys breaking down complicated systems and explaining them in a way that makes sense.

Joe and Tom bring different strengths to the business, but they share the same goal:

Do honest work and take care of homeowners.
