Before the South Salem roof replacement
The existing roof and the home’s intersecting rooflines were photographed before removal. These views provide a starting point for comparing the completed work.
From tear-off to installation
The installation photos document preparation, removal of the old roofing, underlayment, and shingle work on this approximately 3,900-square-foot roof.
The project record lists three days of work and completion in June 2026. Your schedule depends on your roof, access, weather, and the agreed scope.
What went into this roof?
Shingles and ridge
The homeowners selected Malarkey Legacy Scotchgard shingles in Storm Grey. High-profile ridge shingles give the roof peaks a more pronounced finish.
Underlayment
Safeguard 30 underlayment was installed beneath the shingles. The visible shingle surface is one part of the roofing system described in the project scope.
The completed Legacy roof in Storm Grey
The finished photographs show the home’s rooflines, shingle color, and ridge details from several angles. Use them alongside physical shingle samples when considering the look of your own roof.

A matching roof for the pump house
The property’s pump house received a matching roof while the main replacement was underway. The published project record notes that this was included at no additional charge for this job.
That was specific to this project. Work on detached structures should be identified in your own written proposal.
Questions to bring to your own proposal
- Which shingles, underlayment, ridge, and other components are included?
- Does the scope include any detached structures?
- How will unexpected findings and additional work be handled?
